Genie Bouchard is not secretive. She frequently shares memorable events from her life on social media, which has improved fan interaction.

Things aren’t always picture-perfect, though, as the Instagram Meta Gods would have you believe.

When Genie described catching a foul ball during her first World Series, she brought that to our attention. A foul ball is fantastic to catch. Until the foul ball hits the face of another woman, everyone would agree it’s a good time.

You can’t win ’em all.

After a pickleball game in Montreal this past weekend, she sent out another reminder. Throughout the day, Genie posted updates on Instagram about her arrival and appearance on the court.

Everything is going so well, isn’t it? You’re not her fingers, then.

Since part of Genie’s fingernails were lost in the process, her follow-up narrative served as a terrible reminder that tragedies can accompany triumph.
