“Yeah, I enjoy playing pickleball. “I adore the way that sports unite communities in a constructive, healthful, and social manner,” Rachel said to her supporters on Monday. “It’s not ‘taking over tennis,’ sorry. I think that’s a really dramatic interpretation. Both sports have space to flourish. And the sound is OK with me.”
These quotations echoed a lot of the feelings that the top player in the world expressed to OutKick in 2023 when pickleball was facing legal trouble due to numerous lawsuits arising from noise concerns related to the game. In September, things became so bad that a woman trying to sell her $36 million pickleball courthouse urged the park to close its court.
Stuhlmann claims that she now identifies as a “racquet sports girl.”
“Tennis, pickleball, pedal [a Mexican racket sport], platform tennis, squash, ping pong- the truth is, I love them all,” she stated.
